Field Service Representative
Perform HVAC&R equipment service, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on-site.
Job Highlights
About the Role
Representatives engage in problem solving, coordinate with electricians, sales partners and technical support, and document their work. They also work with managers and regional directors to address escalated issues while continuously learning. Travel may be regional or nationwide, sometimes requiring overnight stays, and involves teamwork with senior technicians and project managers on larger projects. • Perform assembly, startup, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on equipment. • Solve technical problems with customers, electricians, sales partners, and technical support teams. • Complete field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance logs, and startup data sheets. • Assist senior technicians and support project managers on large system start‑ups and complex projects. • Travel regionally and occasionally nationwide, including overnight trips, to provide customer support. • Act on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve operational issues as needed.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates possess an associate’s degree, trade certification, military training or equivalent HVAC&R experience, along with several years of service background and field‑service exposure. Safety certifications, the ability to read technical documents and proficiency with diagnostic tools are required. • Hold an associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, military training, or equivalent HVAC&R experience. • Possess 3–5 years of HVAC&R service experience, preferably with complex equipment, and at least 2 years in field services. • Maintain a universal EPA certification and knowledge of refrigeration, chillers, hydronics, and controls. • Demonstrate safety awareness, including lock‑out/tag‑out practices and familiarity with NFPA‑70E or OSHA standards. • Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and operation manuals; proficient with test and diagnostic equipment. • Communicate effectively in English and use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) and company digital tools. • Lift up to 40 lb, work in confined spaces, and endure extreme weather conditions as required.
