About the Role
Core responsibilities include reading specifications to determine curb location, width, and shape; laying string and painting guide marks; brushing cement‑water mix onto pavement for bonding; installing the curb‑forming die; operating the curb machine to extrude curbing; smoothing edges, cutting expansion joints, and applying curing and sealing compounds. The finisher also assists with site safety and quality programs to ensure compliance with Rogers Group standards and applicable regulations. Additional duties involve maintaining positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and employees; working independently with minimal supervision; and demonstrating teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership in daily operations. What You Bring
The company is currently seeking a Concrete Finisher for the Huntsville, AL / North Alabama operations area, reporting to the General Manager of Construction & Superintendent. The successful candidate must demonstrate leadership in safety, quality, and revenue generation, and have verifiable curb & gutter experience. Qualifications include 1.5–3 years of curb & gutter experience (operating a curb machine is a plus), ability to form, pour, and finish curb & gutter and storm‑drain boxes, strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and creativity. Candidates must be self‑motivated, calm under pressure, meet deadlines while keeping safety paramount, have reliable transportation, and pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check. • Smooth curbing edges with a trowel and cut expansion joints. • Work independently with minimal supervision. • Possess 1.5–3 years of curb & gutter experience (machine operation a plus). • Exhibit strong attention to detail, problem‑solving, and creativity. • Have reliable transportation and pass drug screen/background check.
