About the Role

You will provide Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) for sectors such as stormwater, sewerage, rail, road, community developments, and marine projects. Responsibilities include coordinating inputs from engineering, hydrology and other disciplines, managing client and regulator interfaces, interpreting findings to design mitigation measures, and mentoring junior team members. The role focuses on core impact‑assessment activities, including project management, contract administration, and liaison with sub‑consultants. You will prepare RFPs, assess and manage appointed sub‑consultants, and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables. • Conduct and deliver EIAs and ESIA studies for infrastructure, community, marine, and coastal projects. • Lead project management, contract administration, and coordination with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary experts. • Interpret assessment findings to develop mitigation measures and guide design teams. • Mentor and review the work of junior team members. • Manage and evaluate environmental sub‑consultants, prepare RFPs, and oversee deliverables. • Ensure compliance with UAE environmental regulations and Development Financing Institution safeguards. • Prepare and present study findings in workshops and to regulatory authorities.

What You Bring

Parsons is seeking an Associate – Environmental Specialist in Dubai to contribute to environmental strategies for challenging high‑quality infrastructure and masterplan projects across the GCC. The role involves delivering environmental impact assessments and supporting related environmental management requirements. A solid understanding of E(S)IA processes, UAE environmental regulations (especially Dubai and Abu Dhabi), and environmental monitoring is required. You must align reports with safeguards from development financing institutions, demonstrate strong organizational and project‑management skills, and communicate findings confidently in workshops and to authorities. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree (Masters or PhD preferred) in an environmental discipline, with more than ten years of international engineering design, project management, or environmental consultancy experience. Chartered status or registration as an EIA practitioner is advantageous, as are analytical, detail‑oriented, and excellent written and oral English communication skills. • Hold a Bachelor’s (preferably Master’s/PhD) in an environmental field with 10+ years of international engineering or consultancy experience. • Possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; chartered or registered EIA practitioner preferred.
