About the Role
The Welder position is focused on welding for the cable tray department. The welder will direct and assist Assemblers II with assembling ladders and welding cable tray ladders and fittings. In this role you will perform simple repetitive tasks and assemble parts using bolts, screws, hand tools, clips, and other fasteners. You will operate the welding unit, make minor adjustments, and weld both aluminum and steel, working from models, samples, or engineering drawings under close supervision. You will also remove excess weld, slag, spatter, and rough spots using grinders, brushes, chisels, or scrapers, and support continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives. • Direct and assist Assemblers II in ladder assembly and cable tray welding • Perform repetitive part assembly using bolts, screws, and hand tools • Operate MIG/TIG welding equipment to weld aluminum and steel • Make minor adjustments to welding units based on models or drawings • Remove excess weld material with grinders, brushes, chisels, or scrapers • Support facility continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives • Measure components accurately with tape measures and calipers • Read and interpret engineering drawings • Adjust and troubleshoot welding equipment • Identify defects and verify workpiece conformance • Maintain standing position throughout shift and wear required PPE

What You Bring
The work environment may expose you to oils, lubricants, and solvents. No relocation assistance is provided, and only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered, though active‑duty military members are exempt from this restriction. Candidates must have at least one year of MIG/TIG welding experience in a manufacturing setting, be able to weld aluminum and steel, and have experience measuring components with tape measures and calipers and reading engineering drawings. Additional requirements include adjusting and troubleshooting welding equipment, identifying defects, and ensuring workpiece conformance. Prior experience in high‑volume, fast‑paced welding and fabrication is preferred. Successful candidates must be able to stand continuously during their shift and wear required personal protective equipment as mandated by company policy.
