About the Role
As a Groundperson you will work directly with Power Line Technician crews that construct, operate, and maintain powerlines and electrical distribution systems. This hands‑on field role is suited to candidates interested in electrical utility work, construction, trades, labor, and outdoor work. You will handle tools, materials, and equipment, assist with setting up and dismantling work sites, support safe work practices, and contribute to daily crew operations in all weather conditions. • Assist PLT crews with construction and maintenance of powerlines. • Handle tools, equipment, and materials safely. • Set up, organize, and clean up work sites. • Support safe work procedures at all times. • Work professionally with crew members, customers, and the public.

What You Bring
• High School Diploma, CAEC, or GED. • Meet minimum academic requirements for Alberta Industry Training PLT Apprenticeship (English 20-2, Math 20-3, Science 10). • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence. • Ability to work at heights on wood poles and steel towers. • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. • Ability to perform physically active work and travel when required.

Benefits
We offer a full‑time schedule of 40 hours per week at $24.99 per hour, plus 6 % vacation pay. This temporary position lasts about six months and can provide a foundation for future advancement, including possible consideration for a Powerline Technician apprenticeship.
