About the Role
The position is client‑facing with ownership of successful dam engineering project delivery, business development, and proposal preparation. Technical duties include analyses, design, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, risk assessments, site inspections, construction observation, and regulatory compliance for various hydraulic structures. • Build and maintain project schedules, managing resources, budgets, and risk. • Plan and manage field investigations for hydraulic structures and embankments. • Communicate with multidisciplinary teams on dam and hydraulic structure projects. • Perform quality reviews of engineer deliverables such as design calculations and reports. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.

What You Bring

Candidates must be U.S. citizens. • Travel flexibly for project work as needed. • Minimum: BS in Civil Engineering with geotechnical/structural/hydrology coursework and 6+ years experience. • Licensed Professional Engineer in at least one state or pass PE exam within six months. • Valid U.S. driver’s license and pass AECOM motor vehicle records review. • U.S. citizenship required. • Preferred: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. • Experience with dams, hydraulic structures design, rehabilitation, or construction. • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams. • Ability to complete Managing AECOM Projects training and obtain certification. • Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Procore, and e‑Builder. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
