Job Highlights
About the Role
• Implement corporate HSE policy, plans, and legislation; monitor performance and drive improvements. • Ensure client safety requirements are fully met. • Liaise with safety managers and contractors to apply corporate HSE ethics. • Monitor contractors’ implementation of safety measures to satisfy legal and client obligations. • Review contractor‑submitted site safety, emergency, and related plans. • Evaluate method statements and risk analyses; verify effectiveness of hazard controls. • Conduct HSE inspections and report findings to the resident engineer for immediate correction. • Review and track contractors’ monthly HSE inspection reports. • Lead monthly safety meetings, set targets, and distribute meeting minutes. • Assess emergency preparedness, permit‑to‑work systems, toolbox talks, and HSE statistics per company standards. • Analyze incident and accident investigation reports, communicate lessons learned, and oversee corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety & health or a related engineering discipline. • Possess internationally recognized safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, Safety Diploma, First Aid, Fire Safety). • Bring at least 8 years of highway, bridge, and underpass safety engineering experience in the UAE. • Demonstrate working knowledge of UAE federal laws, Dubai Municipality construction safety code, RTA circulars, and work‑zone traffic management manuals. • Be able to attend physical interviews in the UAE. • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Have audit expertise or training in ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015.
