About the Role

In this role you will adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and project requirements, maintain detailed records of work performed, and produce comprehensive service reports. You will also support the delivery of site‑specific training to owners/operators on total building control systems. • Install and commission complex field devices on site using standard tools. • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve installation or operational issues. • Respond promptly to basic warranty calls to ensure customer satisfaction. • Communicate job progress and technical issues to stakeholders. • Validate system functionality and document complete system performance. • Deliver site‑specific training to owners/operators on building control systems. • Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and project requirements. • Maintain detailed work records and produce service reports.

What You Bring

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Systems Installer & Commissioning Technician. The ideal candidate will install highly complex system field devices, commission, validate, and troubleshoot building control systems using standard tools. They will act as a key liaison between Johnson Controls, contractors, and customers to ensure smooth job progress and issue resolution, while also providing basic warranty support and assisting with owner/operator training. Candidates must have a university degree with at least one year of relevant experience, or a two‑year technical degree with six years of experience, or an equivalent combination. Required knowledge includes building control systems and field device installation/commissioning, strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities, excellent communication, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel. Preferred qualifications are experience with Johnson Controls International systems, HVAC or electrical automation knowledge, and experience delivering technical training. • Hold a university degree (or technical degree) with relevant experience or equivalent. • Possess strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. • Hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to client sites. • Experience with Johnson Controls systems is a plus. • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, or building automation systems preferred. • Ability to conduct technical training for owners/operators.
