About the Role
We are seeking an IT Service Design & Transition Lead who will ensure that new and changed IT services are designed, documented, and transitioned into live operation in a controlled and efficient manner. The role involves leading the creation of Service Design Packages, defining service models and support requirements, and embedding service governance and quality assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle. Success requires close collaboration with project managers, technical owners, and operational leads to guarantee operational readiness from day one. • Design, document, and transition new or changed IT services into live operation. • Lead creation of Service Design Packages and define service models and support requirements. • Embed service governance and quality assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle. • Collaborate with project managers, technical owners, and operational leads to achieve operational readiness. • Apply structured transition and readiness processes for service introductions. • Work hybrid with a flexible 36‑hour week, attend office at least once per month, and undertake occasional travel.

What You Bring
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in IT Service Management, with a strong focus on service design and transition within a complex enterprise environment. A proven track record of introducing new or changed services into live operation using structured transition and readiness processes is essential, as are excellent stakeholder‑management and communication skills. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK, reside in England or Wales for the duration of employment, and are not eligible for visa sponsorship. Benefits
The role is a permanent, hybrid position based in any UK location, with a base office in London. Salary ranges from £48,987 to £61,234 per annum in London and £45,168 to £56,461 nationally, with the possibility of up to a 10 % increase in exceptional cases.
