About the Role
The Senior Supervising Mechanical Engineer role focuses on Critical Facilities, joining Syska Hennessy Group's global consulting and engineering team. Based in the Boston office, the engineer will support a Hamilton, NJ team and lead design for data center projects across worldwide markets. • Represent the firm with clients, contractors, architects, and project team members. • Create basic designs, specifications, system narratives, and layouts under senior guidance. • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects. • Supervise preparation of reports and analysis of system options and building conditions. • Maintain interdisciplinary coordination with other trades and consultants. • Monitor correspondence among staff, clients, contractors, and owners. • Oversee construction administration, including field reports, RFIs, bulletins, and addenda. • Conduct periodic employee objective and comprehensive evaluations. • Participate in the Technical Leadership Committee and contribute to business unit strategy. • Assist technical managers and chief engineers with training and staff mentorship. • Join dynamic Employee Resource Groups fostering inclusion. • Work half‑day from home every Friday year‑round.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. • Bring 7–14+ years of consulting MEP engineering experience, including senior‑level responsibilities. • Provide at least 3 years of supervisory experience. • Demonstrate hands‑on design proficiency with CAD/REVIT tools. • Maintain an active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
