About the Role
The Underground Foreman supports all phases of utility construction on telecom projects, using construction knowledge to build, repair, and maintain infrastructure. Responsibilities include working on outdoor utility sites, troubleshooting field problems, training crews on tools and equipment, operating machinery such as backhoes, dozers, cable plows, trenchers, and hydraulic reel trailers, and managing all aspects of job‑site construction. • Lead and manage all phases of underground telecom construction projects. • Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, dozers, cable plows, trenchers, and hydraulic reel trailers. • Train crew on proper use of tools, equipment, and safety protocols. • Troubleshoot field issues and ensure high‑quality workmanship. • Apply expertise in coax and fiber splicing, directional drilling, and aerial/underground construction. • Mentor and coach team members to maintain safety and performance standards. • Maintain rigorous safety practices daily. • Participate in an employee referral program with a $1,000 incentive.
