About the Role
The intern will support the engineering team by creating CAD models, performing engineering calculations, and preparing technical drawings. Responsibilities include generating and releasing engineering documentation, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, and adhering to Sandvik’s safety management program. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed. • Develop and refine CAD models for underground drill designs. • Perform engineering calculations and prepare technical drawings. • Create and release engineering documentation. • Collaborate with internal and external team members. • Ensure compliance with Sandvik’s safety management program.

What You Bring
Candidates must be enrolled in a recognized engineering or technology program and be legally eligible to work in Canada with at least eight months of valid work authorization. A strong interest in design, with background knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and power‑train systems, is valued. Experience with SolidWorks or NX, familiarity with welded designs and control systems, and the ability to interpret technical documentation are considered assets. The role requires excellent communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities, as well as a detail‑oriented, highly organized and self‑motivated approach. Interns should be capable of managing tasks independently while contributing effectively to the team. • Enrolled in an accredited engineering or technology program. • Eligible to work in Canada with at least eight months of work authorization. • Experience with SolidWorks or NX CAD software (preferred). • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power‑train systems. • Ability to interpret technical documentation and produce detailed designs. • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills. • Highly organized, self‑motivated, and capable of independent task management.
