About the Role
The Commercial Appraiser will lead valuation assignments, defining scope, methodology, and delivering comprehensive commercial real estate appraisal and consulting projects. Core duties include data collection, market research, analyzing highest‑and‑best‑use scenarios, evaluating revenue and expense performance, and constructing discounted cash‑flow models. The role also involves comparable sales analysis, detailed cost studies, and synthesizing market comparisons to formulate opinions of value. Advanced analytical, quantitative, and communication skills are essential, and the position may include mentoring junior staff while cultivating new business and client relationships. • Lead valuation assignments and define scope, methodology, and deliverable outcomes. • Gather data and conduct market research for commercial property appraisals. • Analyze highest‑and‑best‑use scenarios, revenue/expense performance, and build DCF cash‑flow models. • Perform comparable sales and detailed cost analyses to form opinions of value. • Mentor junior staff and cultivate client relationships to grow new business.
