About the Role

• Drive a dump‑body truck to transport and unload sand, gravel, crushed rock, or paving materials. • Perform pre‑trip inspections of tires, lights, fluids, belts, and windshield wipers. • Operate vehicle defensively, obeying state and federal trucking laws and weight limits. • Manage dump bed, third axle, and tarp controls; secure loads with tarps and straps. • Monitor vehicle gauges and radios, submit daily logs and truck reports complying with regulations. • Report vehicle defects promptly and refrain from operating unsafe equipment. • Assist crew with general labor tasks such as shoveling when needed. • Maintain a clean work area, including bed, floorboards, and tailgate.

What You Bring

The work environment requires extensive physical activity, including climbing onto the dump bed, operating controls, and occasional manual labor such as shoveling. Drivers must be able to lift up to 100 lb occasionally, work long shifts (10‑12 hours, up to 15 hours), and be exposed to outdoor conditions, noise, and vehicle vibrations. • Valid CDL license and current Medical Examiner’s Certificate. • Minimum two years of truck driving experience, preferably with a third‑axle truck. • Ability to perform basic math, follow written/oral instructions, and solve variable problems. • Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and professional image. • Capacity to remain composed under stressful traffic conditions and work evenings/night shifts as required.
