About the Role
The Data Engineer will expand and optimize Terex’s telematic data and pipeline architecture, ensuring efficient data flow for cross‑functional teams. The role supports application developers, database architects, analysts and scientists, and requires self‑direction to meet the data needs of multiple products. The engineer will help reshape the company’s data architecture for next‑generation initiatives. • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and code pipelines using SQL and AWS services. • Assemble large, complex data sets that satisfy functional and non‑functional business requirements. • Automate manual processes and redesign infrastructure to improve scalability and data delivery. • Define extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) infrastructure for diverse data sources. • Support analytics tools with data sets that enable actionable insights into operational efficiency. • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data‑related technical issues and fulfill data needs. • Perform root‑cause analysis on data and processes to answer business questions and drive improvements. • Work with big‑data technologies such as Kafka, Redshift, S3, Data Pipeline, Glue, EMR, Athena, and Elasticsearch. • Apply advanced SQL skills and familiarity with relational (Oracle) and NoSQL databases.

What You Bring
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree and 3‑5 years of data engineering experience; strong problem‑solving and analytic abilities. • Experience with data architecture, metadata management, and handling unstructured datasets. • Preferred: 5‑7 years of data pipeline experience, project management, Agile Scrum, and proficiency in multiple programming languages. • Preferred: Ability to prepare data visualizations using QlikView, QuickSight, Tableau, or Business Objects, and knowledge of message queuing and stream processing.
