Job Highlights
About the Role
• Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours. • Collaborates with other designers and engineers to ensure that the electrical system designs integrate seamlessly with other systems. • Modifies electrical diagrams and creates new electrical controls system designs for prototype and determines the specifications for each component. • Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure. • Reads schematics for designs and makes change recommendations. • Creates cost estimates for the electrical/controls products including cost of material, labor, and equipment. • Establishes procedures for testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment. • Tests and troubleshoots electrical/controls products to ensure they are functioning properly and are safe for use. • Stays up to date with local and national electrical codes and regulations to ensure that designs meet safety standards. • Works with engineering and operations to implement engineering change notices (ECN). • Coordinates with electrical engineers and others to deviate/approve part shortages and to build test fixtures and prototypes. • Makes changes to ECAT table and tests for new control modules.

What You Bring
• Five years industry experience or an associate degree and 10 years industry experience. • Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem solving abilities. • Communicates effectively in written and spoken form. • Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills. • Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills. • Lift up to 50lbs. • Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology. • Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment. • Works effectively in a team environment.
