About the Role
As the Resident Engineer you will be the client’s first point of contact on site, responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and general building services support. You will work independently with the support of a wider team to ensure a safe, efficient and compliant facility. • Perform emergency lighting and lamp changes • Conduct electrical and fire alarm testing • Carry out fault finding and repairs for mechanical and electrical systems • Undertake minor plumbing and fabric maintenance • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations • Provide excellent service to clients • Maintain health and safety awareness

What You Bring
Are you an experienced M&E Engineer living in or near the Bristol area? Are you looking to take the next step in your career with an award‑winning facilities management provider? Arcus FM are currently recruiting a Resident M&E Engineer to join our dedicated on‑site team at our client’s facility in Bristol. This role offers a technically varied, customer‑facing position. • Hold 18th Edition or HVAC certification • Possess hands‑on experience in M&E or multi‑skilled engineering • Demonstrate strong communication and organisational abilities • Experience delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) (desirable) • F‑Gas qualification (desirable) • IOSH Working Safely certification (desirable) • Basic plumbing and fabric maintenance skills (desirable) • 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification (desirable)

Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary up to £40,290 per annum, 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, enhanced overtime rates, and an annual bonus of up to 4% based on performance. The role is full‑time (40 hours per week) on a rotating 5‑days‑on, 2‑days‑off shift pattern, including bank holidays, with an on‑call rota of one week in every four weeks.
