About the Role
• Support design of urban and rural roadways, intersections, interchanges, and active transportation facilities using modern civil design tools. • Assist with horizontal and vertical alignments, cross‑sections, grading, and drainage layouts for highway projects. • Prepare engineering drawings, 3D models, and design details in collaboration with senior engineers and CAD technicians. • Contribute to technical reports, design summaries, quantity take‑offs, and tender documents. • Participate in site visits and field reviews to gather data and resolve design or construction issues. • Work with multidisciplinary teams (transportation planning, structures, geotechnical, environmental, municipal) to deliver integrated solutions. • Apply design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure safety, accessibility, and sustainability.

What You Bring
The opportunity is a Graduate Civil Engineer – Highways and Roads role, where you will launch your career by contributing to the planning and design of safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation networks. You will apply academic knowledge on real‑world projects, working alongside experienced engineers to shape roads, interchanges, and active‑transport corridors that communities rely on every day. • Recent or upcoming Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with interest in transportation or municipal infrastructure. • Eligibility or registration as an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) with a provincial engineering association. • Foundational knowledge of roadway geometric design, drainage, and pavements from coursework or co‑op experience. • Experience with civil design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, or similar. • Ability to work with data (survey, GIS, traffic, terrain) and translate it into buildable designs. • Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills. • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to meet deadlines.
