About the Role
Design engineers at CGS develop and compare alternative layouts and designs, considering structural, mechanical, and hydraulic features. They work on preliminary designs, specifications, and evaluate frequent changes that affect equipment before and during production, including new circuitry and power distribution approaches. The position offers a pay rate of $30‑$45 per hour and follows an onsite/in‑office work model. The role provides engineering and support services for various command‑and‑control (C2) facilities, encompassing AV system design, documentation, cataloging, and installation to enable quick mission assessment and decisional information for kill‑chain decisions. • Provide engineering and support services for C2 facilities, including AV design and installation of space operations centers. • Review and modify current drawing packages to meet requirements and room configurations. • Prepare pre‑installation, test, and checkout documentation for new AV equipment and subcomponents. • Catalog and archive software media associated with AV equipment. • Oversee engineering and install AV equipment components according to the Integrated Design Plan or government direction. • Maintain an active TS/SCI clearance.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or industrial design, have at least three years of professional experience in mechanical, structural, or electrical/electronic design, and possess a current active TS/SCI clearance.
