About the Role

The role focuses on preparing geotechnical reports with analysis, recommendations, and meeting project deadlines. It includes managing construction materials testing projects, reviewing daily reports, resolving issues, and training field staff. The incumbent will also prepare proposals, manage budgets, and handle change orders and invoicing, as well as attend client meetings to discuss reports and provide technical solutions. Additional duties, under supervision, involve creating drilling packages, obtaining utility clearances, researching local geologic history, supervising drilling and test‑pit crews, handling rig access, classifying soil, and assigning laboratory tests. The manager will mentor staff project managers, assistant managers, and technicians. • Prepare geotechnical reports with analysis, recommendations, and meet deadlines • Manage construction materials testing projects, review daily reports, resolve issues, and train field staff • Develop geotechnical and CMT proposals, oversee project budgets, and handle change orders and invoicing • Conduct client project meetings to discuss reports and provide technical solutions • Prepare drilling packages and secure utility clearances • Research local geologic history • Supervise drilling/test‑pit crews, address rig access, classify soil, and assign laboratory testing • Mentor Staff Project Managers, Assistant Managers, and technicians

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology or a related field, with at least two years of relevant experience. A Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist license is preferred, and a state professional license is required for the title; otherwise, the title will be “Manager.” A valid driver’s license is also required for driving on behalf of the company. • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or related field • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) preferred • Hold required state professional license for the title (or use “Manager” title if not yet licensed) • Valid driver’s license for company vehicle use
