About the Role
The Assistant Chief Engineer role in Miami Beach, FL serves as the property’s emergency contact and oversees operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, with a compensation of $80 k per year. • Complete painting, pressure washing, lighting bulb/ballast replacement, plumbing, HVAC, water‑treatment, picture hanging, furniture repair, locksmith tasks, and general maintenance. • Maintain daily work‑order system and promptly address tenant service requests. • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as needed. • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on building systems. • Provide on‑call or emergency response support and troubleshoot electrical, DDC, and pneumatic controls. • Follow all safety procedures and participate in ongoing technical and safety training.

What You Bring
The position requires at least three years of experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry, along with trade school, union, military, or college education. Candidates should have a Universal CFC EPA certification or be willing to obtain it within the first year, be able to lift 50 lb, use ladders up to 30 ft, and possess strong customer‑service skills and Microsoft Office proficiency. The role does not provide visa sponsorship and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
