Prior mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, especially generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil‑and‑gas machinery, is strongly preferred, and a Red Seal Heavy Duty certification is an asset. The technician should possess advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and strong troubleshooting skills. Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment is essential, and the ability to provide personal mechanic tools is expected, with a tool allowance available. The position requires physical activity such as bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting 50 lb or more, both indoors and outdoors.
