About the Role

The Associate Research Consultant manages a portfolio of commercial‑real‑estate contacts and ensures that properties, listings, and transactions in CoStar’s database are current, accurate, and complete. This role involves daily outreach—interviewing brokers, owners, developers, and other professionals—to capture real‑time market information, and it is based in an office Monday through Friday. Key duties include contributing to a comprehensive CRE inventory, making 50+ inbound and outbound calls each day, investigating new listings and recent transactions, building and maintaining broker relationships, and partnering with clients to market their properties on the CoStar platform. The consultant also tracks construction projects from proposal through completion and collaborates with regional teams to analyze market trends. • Conduct 50+ inbound and outbound calls daily with brokers, developers, and investors. • Verify and update property listings, lease and sale transactions, and ownership data. • Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with commercial‑real‑estate professionals. • Track construction projects from proposal through completion and update the database. • Collaborate with regional teams to analyze market trends and inform data stories. • Achieve performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). • Utilize Microsoft Excel 365 to manipulate data, filter records, and create basic formulas. • Work flexible shifts aligned with Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones.

What You Bring

Basic qualifications require a bachelor’s degree from an accredited non‑profit institution, at least eight months of customer‑service experience, proficiency with Microsoft Excel 365, flexibility to work shifts aligned with ET, CT, MT, and PT time zones, and a record of strong academic performance and employer commitment. Preferred qualifications include natural curiosity, persistence in investigative research, proven success meeting KPIs, excellent phone communication with internal and external partners, goal‑oriented multitasking, ability to conduct effective interviews that update the database, and a customer‑focused, team‑oriented mindset. Experience in the commercial‑real‑estate industry and advanced Excel skills for data manipulation are also valued. • Hold a bachelor’s degree and at least eight months of customer‑service experience. • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to conduct effective interviews. • Exhibit natural curiosity, persistence, and investigative research abilities.
