About the Role

The position is responsible for supervising lifting operations for the SAPL Qiddiya Infrastructure Partner as part of the Citywide Cliff Stabilization team, ensuring full coordination with Qiddiya Investment Company and reporting directly to the Project Director. The role oversees all aspects of lifting activities, from planning and execution to safety and compliance, while leading a team of crane operators, riggers, and banksmen, and coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders to minimize operational disruptions. • Develop and implement lifting plans in line with policies, regulations, and best practices. • Supervise setup, rigging, and execution of simple, complicated, and complex lifts across worksites. • Lead and coordinate contractor crane operators, riggers, and banksmen to ensure safe and efficient lifting activities. • Prioritize health, safety, and environment initiatives, promoting safe lifting practices. • Ensure compliance with international lifting engineering standards and regulations. • Serve as primary contact for lifting‑related queries, providing guidance to stakeholders. • Facilitate training and development for lifting personnel to maintain competency. • Collaborate with other departments and external parties to schedule lifting activities and minimize disruptions. • Conduct regular inspections and audits of lifting equipment and procedures, implementing corrective actions. • Maintain accurate records of lift plans, risk assessments, and equipment inspections.

What You Bring

Candidates should have at least ten years of experience in lifting operations on construction projects, preferably on cliff or high‑rise projects, strong communication skills in English, and may hold Project Management certification. Key competencies include teamwork, familiarity with multiple crane types and LOLER regulations, a strong safety focus, ability to work in a matrix organization, effective stakeholder management, and the capacity to meet deadlines under time constraints. • Require 10+ years of lifting operations experience on construction projects, especially cliff/high‑rise projects. • Preference for extensive experience on significant PM/CM contracts; Project Management certification is a plus. • Strong written and spoken English communication skills. • Demonstrated teamwork and management abilities; familiarity with multiple crane types and LOLER regulations. • Proven ability to work in complex construction environments and matrix organizations. • Strong contractor supervision, stakeholder negotiation, and ability to meet deadlines under time constraints.
