About the Role
• Lead industrial scaffold operations and supervise scaffold builders. • Construct, erect, install, repair, and dismantle wood, plywood, and metal scaffold structures, including stairs and walkways. • Interpret prints, drawings, and plans; perform layout, measurement, marking, cutting, and material arrangement using hand and power tools. • Operate crane/rigging hand signals as needed. • Utilize tube‑lock and pin‑lock scaffold systems; maintain scaffolding tools and materials. • Perform mechanical tasks, including equipment inspection, repair, and maintenance. • Communicate inspection findings, safety concerns, and work plans to supervisors and co‑workers. • Follow Zachry safety values, regulations, and PPE requirements (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator, vest, gloves, steel‑toe boots). • Meet physical demands such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing, and working at heights in various weather conditions.

What You Bring
ZACHRY is seeking an experienced NCCER Industrial Journeyman Scaffold Builder for maintenance work at EXXON BMT in Beaumont, TX. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license; no per diem is offered. The role involves erecting and dismantling scaffolds. Required licenses include a driver’s license and NCCER Scaffold certification; no other certifications are mandatory. A background check, drug screen, pre‑employment physical, pulmonary function test, and other safety training are required. • Manage time, organize tasks, and work effectively as part of a team. • Possess reliable transportation and good manual dexterity, reading comprehension, and aptitude. • Preferred qualifications: former Zachry employee, 4‑5 years industrial maintenance experience, vocational training.
