About the Role

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including providing complex grounds maintenance activities ensuring upkeep of estates to achieve Land Management service line requirements, maintenance and upkeep for site grounds and gardens, identifying and managing risks associated with grounds maintenance, providing input into reporting, and delivering specific and complex grounds/gardens performance. • Perform complex grounds maintenance to meet Land Management service line requirements. • Maintain site grounds and gardens, ensuring proper upkeep. • Identify and manage risks associated with grounds maintenance activities. • Contribute to reporting on grounds maintenance performance. • Deliver specific and complex grounds/gardens performance targets. • Apply horticulture and irrigation system knowledge in daily tasks.

The ideal candidate has experience with grounds maintenance and knowledge of horticulture and irrigation systems. Desired qualifications include a Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Horticulture, Agricultural Chemical Distribution & Control (AC/DC) and ChemCert certificates, a Medium or Heavy Rigid Truck Licence and Chainsaw Operators Licence or Certificate, and a current open driver’s licence. Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance is required, with Australian citizenship mandatory. A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to high‑quality outcomes are essential. • Hold relevant certifications (Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Horticulture, AC/DC, ChemCert) as needed. • Possess a medium/heavy rigid truck licence and Chainsaw Operators licence or certificate. • Maintain a current open driver’s licence and obtain Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship required). • Demonstrate strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to high‑quality outcomes.
