About the Role

• Manage overall financial health of projects. • Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections. • Allocate project estimates into the financial system and determine cost codes. • Approve invoices and make budget decisions. • Provide financials and billings to Accounting for timely payment. • Create monthly owner billings. • Assist in developing new electrical product lines. • Manage subcontracts and suppliers, including contract buyouts. • Oversee self‑perform budgets and select trade partners and suppliers. • Lead Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, handling job assignments and career development. • Support project teams during product planning, implementation, and installation. • Align customer schedules with production capacity and timelines.

BLUvera, Mortenson’s vertically integrated manufacturing and fabrication affiliate, is seeking an experienced Project Manager I – Electrical. The role involves leading projects with flexibility, resourcefulness, and professionalism while anticipating and solving problems, ensuring project quality, safety, and timeliness, and mentoring the project team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to develop and enhance customer relationships through exceptional service. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, and candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Postings typically remain open for a minimum of five days, with an average duration of 44 days. • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field. • At least eight years of electrical construction management or design experience. • Minimum one year overseeing projects from mobilization to turnover. • Proficiency in medium and high voltage technical knowledge. • Specialized experience in electrical control, substations, and transmission lines. • Current driver's license and knowledge of NEC and NE safety codes. • Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem‑solving, and leadership abilities. • Detail‑oriented with ability to manage multiple project tasks. • Basic understanding of construction law and business practices. • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Project, and web applications. • Positive, professional attitude with strong customer service focus. • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies. • Active listening and effective communication skills. • Willingness to travel up to 50%. • Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and affirmative action plans.
