About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for complying with safety, health, and environmental plans, assisting senior engineers with specifications, datasheets, technical requisitions, and bid evaluations, and performing design calculations for pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment using PVElite and HTRI. You will also propose ideas, collaborate with the team, attend customer site meetings and field walk‑downs, cross‑train in related engineering disciplines, and ensure all project documentation for your work is complete and accurate. • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and report violations. • Assist senior engineers in preparing specifications, datasheets, technical requisitions, and bid evaluations. • Perform design calculations for pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment using PVElite and HTRI. • Participate in customer site meetings, field walk‑downs, and cross‑training in related engineering disciplines. • Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate technical issues with stakeholders.

What You Bring
KBR is seeking an entry‑level Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Department, where you will gain practical experience, perform meaningful work, and make an impact on real‑world customer projects while developing core mechanical engineering skills. The position requires a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and 0‑5 years of experience. Candidates must be able to receive technical guidance, be willing to travel domestically or internationally, and possess strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency with Office 365, Documentum, AutoCAD, Adobe Professional, and familiarity with programming languages are considered pluses. • Hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 0‑5 years of relevant experience. • Proficient in Office 365, AutoCAD, Documentum, and Adobe Professional; programming knowledge is a plus. • Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail. • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required.
