About the Role
The HazMat Field Driver/Technician is responsible for safely transporting hazardous and non‑hazardous waste from multiple generator sites using straight trucks, box trucks, and tractor‑trailers. The role involves performing bulk and containerized waste pickups while complying with all relevant government regulations and company procedures. Key duties include operating various truck types such as roll‑offs, tankers, and box trucks, completing less‑than‑load pickups, maintaining driver documentation (logbooks, permits, manifests), and ensuring proper placarding, load securement, and HAZMAT segregation. The driver also conducts DOT/MOT pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, uses company mobile applications, interacts with customers to ensure satisfaction, and supports facility housekeeping and occasional technician tasks.

What You Bring
Preferred qualifications encompass knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, compressor systems, pumps, motors, instrumentation, metal fabrication, and proficiency with hand and shop tools. Candidates must demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. The minimum requirement is a Class B commercial driver’s license with hazardous‑material and tanker endorsements, or the ability to obtain them within 90 days of hire.
