About the Role
The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for all Systems aspects of the design process, preparing engineering designs based on project needs, and coordinating detailed plans. The role involves checking and testing systems to meet industry standards and regulations, and leading a group of engineers. Systems may include integration of multiple technologies, communication, signaling, signage, SCADA, power, and control systems. • Design systems per client needs, industry standards, regulations, and company policies • Check and validate designs performed by engineers • Lead and manage a systems design group, including direct reports • Represent the company in technical meetings internally and with customers • Lead field test efforts and cut‑over activities • Prepare and review specifications to ensure conformity with industry practices • Prepare technical proposals to support business growth strategy • Review designs and prepare detailed plans • Inspect and test systems, equipment, structures, and materials for safety and compliance • Assist with installation and repair of systems • Interact with multi‑discipline teams on proposals and projects • Follow and promote company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures • Prepare and review operating plans and schedules • Provide junior engineering training • Write and review reports and engineering documentation • Provide concise instructions and directions • Work outdoors at construction sites and office environments

What You Bring
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline • Possess 7–15 years of experience in systems design, installation/construction, testing, maintenance, and repair • Demonstrate leadership and managerial skills • Knowledge of a wide range of systems concepts, principles, and practices • Knowledge of new systems construction standards and requirements • Ability to review, analyze, and resolve complex systems problems • Ability to interpret, evaluate, organize, and record technical information accurately • Ability to apply safety rules, practice safe work habits, and identify safety risks • Professional Engineer (PE) license not required but considered a plus • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite • Frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, and crouch in construction areas • Sit, read, write, and use a keyboard • Potential exposure to extreme weather conditions • May require air and vehicular travel
