About the Role
The Bricklayer role is a core function in construction, involving the laying of bricks, blocks, and other building components in mortar to build and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches, chimneys and other structures. Apprentices may also refurbish brickwork, seal foundations with damp‑resistant materials, and perform related masonry tasks. • Prepare and mix mortar, erect and repair masonry structures • Shape and trim bricks using hand and power tools; ensure structures are plumb and level

What You Bring
Successful candidates should have the potential to work at SCQF level 6/7, a strong desire to learn, good communication skills, and the ability to maintain positive customer relationships. The recruitment process includes an entrance test, with the highest scorers progressing to an interview for final selection. • No formal qualifications required; candidates can progress to SVQ level 6‑7 • Apprentices learn to read construction drawings and measure/set out work areas • Candidates must have potential for SCQF level 6/7 and strong communication skills • Must have right to work in the UK; drivers over 21 with licence >3 months and <9 points
