About the Role

You will install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment, adhering to MasTec’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policies as well as industry standards such as OSHA and ANSI. The role involves climbing towers and ladders, erecting various tower types, off‑loading materials, preparing sites, and installing carriers, antennas, transmission lines, and electrical foundations using tools ranging from helicopters to gin poles. • Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment. • Follow MasTec Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI). • Climb towers and ladders to perform installations and repairs. • Erect various tower types using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles. • Off‑load materials, manage inventory, and prepare/clean sites. • Install carriers on new and existing towers. • Assemble monopoles, weld and knock‑down self‑support and guyed towers. • Install microwave, VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas. • Install transmission lines (coaxial, hardline, waveguides) and related components. • Perform electrical site work including grounding, conduits, and installations.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has a safety‑first mindset, a proven record of high‑quality workmanship, and a hands‑on problem‑solving approach. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent with eight years of experience, the ability to read and follow printed instructions, physical capability to climb towers and lift 50 lb, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility for weekend, night, extreme‑weather, and extensive travel assignments. An NWSA certification is a plus. • High school diploma or equivalent with 8 years of relevant experience. • Strong safety mindset with a track record of high‑quality work. • Ability to read and follow printed instructions and safety regulations. • Physical ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, and work up to 12 hours. • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. • Availability for weekends, nights, extreme weather, and extensive travel. • NWSA certification is a plus.
