Job Highlights
About the Role
The primary responsibility is to safely operate a heavy‑duty truck on designated routes, ensuring compliance with all safety, occupational, and transportation regulations. Key duties include operating the vehicle according to OSHA, DOT, and company standards; performing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and completing DVIR reports; promptly reporting unsafe conditions, incidents, or service issues; participating in required training and meetings; collaborating with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency; assisting other drivers as directed; communicating customer requests; dumping containers while leaving sites clean; positioning containers properly; completing customer tickets for excess yardage; and maintaining accurate documentation at the end of each route. • Operate heavy‑duty truck safely following OSHA, DOT, and company standards. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR reports. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or property damage to management. • Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. • Assist other drivers as directed and follow assigned routes. • Communicate customer requests and issues promptly to Dispatch or Operations Manager. • Dump containers, clean the site, and position containers upright with lids secured. • Complete and submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal. • Maintain accurate documentation and check‑in at the end of each route.

Qualifications require no formal education or prior experience, but a current state‑issued driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are mandatory.
