Warehouse Technician - 2nd Shift

About the Role

The Warehouse Technician’s main role is to pick orders accurately using a smartphone‑like device and motorized transport, contributing to the nVent Distribution Center team’s success by working safely, accurately, and at defined productivity standards. Additional tasks may include receiving inbound shipments and auditing or packing outbound orders. • Complete daily 5S tasks (warehouse organization and cleaning) • Complete work adhering to safety policy and meeting productivity rates • Follow defined standard work for each task • Contribute to the Continuous Improvement Program by participating on value stream teams or offering suggestions to increase safety, quality, on‑time delivery or cost performance via the formal employee suggestion process • Focus on counting products accurately on every pick so customers receive what they ordered • Exchange information with co‑workers and work as part of a team • Operate motorized equipment safely

What You Bring

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail • Capable of accurately matching visual information on smart phone device with product labels • Strong addition and multiplication skills • Use smart phone device continuously during shift • Repetitively lift 10+ lbs. • Occasionally lift up to 60 lbs. • Be on feet continuously throughout an 8‑10 hour shift • Occasionally bend 90 degrees and twist 45 degrees • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions from training leads and supervisors • COVID‑19 vaccination is not required
