About the Role

You will perform engineering and design assignments using civil/structural principles learned in a bachelor’s program. Responsibilities include preparing calculations, material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, field surveys, and design layouts, as well as detailed requisitions for materials, services, and subcontracts. Under senior guidance you will review supplier drawing submittals, support technical bid evaluations, and prepare specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. You will also provide technical input and coordination to CAD designers, support project documentation, engineering records, and quality processes. • Perform civil/structural engineering and design tasks using basic principles. • Prepare calculations, material takeoffs, cost estimates, field surveys, and design layouts. • Assist in creating requisitions, specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. • Review supplier drawing submittals and support technical bid evaluations. • Provide technical input and coordination to CAD designers/drafters. • Support project documentation, engineering records, and quality assurance processes. • Join a collaborative Critical Infrastructure team delivering projects that enhance community growth, mobility, sustainability, and resiliency.

What You Bring

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or a related engineering discipline and typically 0+ years of experience, with internships or co‑ops a plus. Basic knowledge of civil/structural engineering concepts and familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit) and PC software (MS Office) are needed. Candidates must be able to learn and apply procedures, standards, and codes under supervision, demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational and documentation skills, and possess effective written and verbal communication for collaborative teamwork. Desired qualifications include an EIT/FE certification (in progress or completed) or ability to obtain it, exposure to CAE tools and structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, or ETABS, and prior internship, co‑op, or project experience related to civil/structural engineering or infrastructure projects. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or related engineering discipline. • Proficient with CAD tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit) and MS Office. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. • Desired: EIT/FE certification (or ability to obtain), experience with CAE/structural analysis software (STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS), and prior internship or project experience.
