Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer (Remote)

About the Role

Key responsibilities include continuously assessing cloud platform needs, identifying significant risks and gaps, and deploying and managing applications within EKS and persistent AWS infrastructure. The engineer will introduce improvements such as proactive capacity management, monitoring and alerting, tuning and pruning, load optimization, and data replication for reporting, while creating and evangelizing best‑practice health models using industry‑standard observability tooling and AWS automation. • Assess cloud platform needs and identify major risks/gaps. • Deploy and manage applications on EKS and persistent AWS infrastructure. • Implement proactive capacity management, monitoring, alerting, tuning, and load optimization. • Manage data replication for reporting and establish health models. • Create and institutionalize best‑practice standards using observability tools and AWS automation. • Lead a high‑impact council of experts and provide consulting to teams and COE leads. • Curate training opportunities in database technologies and offer tactical emergency support.

What You Bring

The position requires a minimum of three years of experience in Kubernetes architecture at scale, five years of Terraform experience, and five years with cloud data technologies. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential to share expertise and influence positive outcomes.
