About the Role
The position sits within the U.S. Services business on the Industry Services team, the OEM for Square D variable frequency drives, and focuses on delivering service on customer sites for Schneider’s extensive product catalog. Typical duties involve performing warranty work, start‑up services, testing, calibration, circuit construction, and technical support while documenting site information and providing on‑site audits and training as needed. • Service, install, and repair customer equipment. • Perform warranty work and start‑up commissioning on variable frequency drives. • Test, calibrate, adjust, and replace components in drive products. • Construct and test circuits using computers, workstations, diagrams, and test instruments. • Provide technical support, product training, and on‑site audits. • Support additional Schneider equipment such as switchgear, PDUs, BMS, PLCs, HMIs, and protective relays. • Document technical reports for each site. • Analyze complex equipment problems and isolate faults using manuals and system knowledge. • Develop and implement design modifications and support their installation. • Create and deliver training courseware to customers and service reps. • Travel for training and on‑site support as required.

What You Bring
Candidates should have vocational or military training in electronics or electrical theory, at least two years of relevant mechanical or electrical service experience, familiarity with variable frequency drives, strong report‑writing skills, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and lift equipment up to 50 lb. • Possess vocational, military, or equivalent education in electronics or electrical theory. • Minimum 2 years of mechanical/electrical/power distribution service experience. • Experience with Variable Frequency Drives and related technologies. • Strong written communication and reporting abilities. • Proficient in mathematical calculations (proportions, percentages, geometry, volume). • Skilled in problem definition, data collection, fact establishment, and conclusion drawing. • Experience with low/medium voltage switchgear, transformers, relay protection, and control systems. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings. • Capable of moving service equipment up to 50 lb.
