About the Role
The Field Based Project Manager creates value by establishing a project order management process that differentiates the company from competitors. The role is heavily involved in the electrical and mechanical details of major strategic projects, focusing on heavy commercial construction, utility, and industrial sectors. Success requires coordinating technical specifications, timelines, documentation, and quality for electrical assembly orders. The manager leverages assigned Project Management team resources to execute orders and applies deep knowledge of sales planning services across specialty areas. They continuously improve processes, introduce new initiatives, and propose solutions based on customer trends and analysis. Compliance with internal procedures is essential, and the manager negotiates for resources and priorities needed by customers. Additionally, they plan and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences to secure product acceptance. • Manage technical aspects of major electrical assembly projects, ensuring specifications, timelines, documentation, and quality. • Direct and coordinate Project Management team resources assigned to each order. • Apply in‑depth sales planning expertise across specialty areas to support internal clients. • Upgrade existing processes, launch new initiatives, and recommend solutions based on market and customer analysis. • Ensure adherence to company processes and procedures to meet business objectives. • Negotiate internal resources and priorities to satisfy customer needs. • Create and deliver persuasive presentations on products and services to internal and external stakeholders. • Maintain knowledge of major competitors, distributor relationships, and market positioning. • Utilize advanced computer tools (Word, Excel, Vista, Bidmanager) for scheduling, engineering, and manufacturing coordination.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and have at least five years of electrical industry experience, including project management exposure. PMP certification, a valid unrestricted driver’s license, and advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Vista, Bidmanager) are required. Applicants must reside within a 50‑mile radius of one of the specified locations (e.g., Charlotte, NC; Nashville, TN; Orlando, FL). Relocation assistance is not provided.
