About the Role
The Land Surveyor role focuses on precise surveying and setting‑out for stormwater and microtunneling works, including pipelines, shafts, tunnels and related civil structures. The position ensures that all construction alignments, levels and coordinates match approved drawings, project specifications and RTA/DM standards. • Perform topographic, control, and setting‑out surveys for stormwater, microtunneling, pipelines, shafts, manholes and related civil structures. • Establish, verify, and maintain survey control points, benchmarks and reference grids in coordination with the contractor’s survey team. • Review approved IFC drawings and coordinate systems to ensure compliance with RTA and project requirements. • Check and verify horizontal and vertical alignments, pipe inverts, tunnel drives and shaft locations before and during construction. • Conduct as‑built surveys and validate contractors’ as‑built drawings prior to submission. • Monitor microtunneling drive alignments and breakthrough coordinates, maintaining allowable tolerances. • Maintain accurate survey records, field books and digital data files for full traceability. • Resolve on‑site survey discrepancies by coordinating with contractors and supervision team. • Certify survey results for measurement sheets, interim payments and progress verification. • Participate in pre‑construction and progress meetings to provide survey status and recommendations. • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, especially in confined‑space and shaft areas. • Calibrate and maintain survey instruments (total stations, GPS, digital levels) per QA/QC procedures. • Support testing, commissioning and handover by verifying final levels and coordinates.

What You Bring
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field. • RTA approval and certification for Microtunneling Works (mandatory). • Certification in surveying instruments and data management (advantage). • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GPS, Total Station and surveying software. • Familiarity with RTA, DM and DEWA standards for utility and infrastructure projects. • Minimum 7 years surveying and setting‑out experience on infrastructure projects, especially stormwater drainage and microtunneling. • Proven experience with deep pipeline, shaft construction and tunnel alignment monitoring. • Prior UAE (Dubai) experience and knowledge of RTA and DM project procedures.
