About the Role

These efforts ensure safe, efficient, and reliable travel for all users. • Develop calculations, specifications, material quantities, and cost estimates. • Produce drawings and specifications that meet scope, schedule, cost, quality, and regulatory requirements. • Review shop drawings for contract compliance. • Provide direction and supervision to junior engineers. • Communicate with clients under project manager supervision. • Attend public and agency meetings under project manager supervision. • Work in multidisciplinary teams and lead tasks. • Manage multiple concurrent assignments and time effectively. • Represent GFT at industry and professional events.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred), a Professional Engineer license with the ability to obtain additional jurisdictional licenses, and at least five years of progressive roadway design experience, including highways, interchanges, or urban roadway projects. Proficiency with CADD, geometry, drainage software, and a working knowledge of design manuals and MS Office is required, along with strong oral and written communication skills.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000, dependent on experience and location.
