About the Role

As a Senior Architect at Gensler, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of architects and designers to deliver high‑profile, design‑driven projects from concept through construction. Leveraging deep industry experience and technical expertise, you will shape solutions that resonate emotionally and enhance everyday experiences. Gensler’s collaborative culture supports mentorship and continuous growth, making it an ideal environment for seasoned architects. • Manage communication between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants • Resolve complex technical and design issues to produce innovative, constructible solutions • Direct production of drawings, specifications, and construction administration tasks • Oversee delivery of documents with design intent and high technical quality • Provide guidance and mentorship on technical/design issues and detailing • Maintain and oversee the project manual and specifications • Conduct on‑site observations and document site reviews • Interface with building and permitting officials during permitting and construction phases • Contribute to the financial performance of the project • Review and contribute to proposals and contracts with the Project Manager • Ensure projects conform to contract requirements • Lead teams for successful project delivery • Manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs • Establish and maintain productive client relationships

What You Bring

The position is based in Austin, Texas, and candidates must be able to work on‑site. Applicants should submit a current portfolio or work samples in PDF format. Relocation is welcomed for qualified professionals. • Registered Architect (required) • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program (required) • 10+ years of related experience, including sports, data center, or advanced manufacturing projects • Expert knowledge of Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software • Full knowledge of architectural principles and practices • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and structures • Experience with full project lifecycle through post‑occupancy • Ability to manage concurrent projects at various development stages • Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, organization, and client relationship skills • Strategic thinker with integrated approach to design, management, and technical resolution
