About the Role
The Yard Operator III role involves operating machinery and performing production‑yard tasks. Responsibilities include framing round‑stock products, assisting with pole scaling and inspection, and contributing to the safety program along with other assigned duties. Similar duties across Yard Operator I, II, and III include operating pole shavers, wheel loaders or forklifts, and inspecting and grading barkies and shaved poles for inventory. • Operate pole shaver and related components safely and efficiently (Peeler). • Operate wheel loaders or forklifts (Mobile Equipment Operator). • Inspect, grade, and manufacture barkies and shaved poles for inventory (Scaler/Inspector). • Manufacture round‑stock products to established specifications (Framer). • Assist in inspection, grading, and manufacturing of barkies and shaved poles (Assistant Pole Scaler/Inspector). • Participate in the company safety program and perform other assigned duties.
