About the Role
Key responsibilities include safely working on energized and de‑energized lines, coaching and training crew members, leading hot‑stick operations, conducting pre‑job briefings, stringing wire, setting poles and anchors, installing transformers and related equipment, troubleshooting primary and secondary systems, replacing cutout fuses, maintaining vehicles and tools, identifying voltages, sagging wire, phasing circuits, using puller/tensioner setups, following grounding and flag/tag procedures, working at heights or in confined spaces, managing PPE, planning work from prints or orders, obtaining one‑shot on reclosers, performing reconductoring, installing mechanical jumpers, using load‑bust tools, and securing line clearances, all while working in inclement weather. • Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair on energized and de‑energized overhead lines safely. • Coach and train crew members in safe, productive procedures. • Lead hot‑stick work on live lines and conduct pre‑job/tailgate briefings. • String overhead wire, set poles and anchors, and install transformers, arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear. • Troubleshoot and supervise troubleshooting of primary and secondary systems. • Replace cutout fuses and clear faulted circuits. • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good condition. • Identify primary and secondary voltages, induced voltage, and properly sag wire. • Phase circuits through substations and use puller/tensioner setups. • Follow grounding, flag, and tag procedures; work at heights and confined spaces. • Properly install and remove PPE and cover‑ups. • Plan safe work using job prints or work orders and obtain one‑shot on reclosers. • Perform reconductoring and install/remove mechanical jumpers. • Use load‑bust tools and request line clearances. • Lift over 50 lb and inspect rubber goods and PPE. • Travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods at various locations.

What You Bring
The Foreman role involves skilled construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems, operating at various locations and potentially traveling to other states based on customer needs. Applicants must have a minimum of five years recent field experience, be proficient in English, coordinate and inspect crew work, travel on short notice, lift over 50 lb, inspect PPE, follow reporting procedures, hold a CDL, and be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. The position requires regular communication, standing, walking, and manual handling, with exposure to fumes, noise, vibration, and extreme outdoor conditions typical of construction job sites. • Possess a CDL and demonstrate safe driving. • Communicate effectively in English and complete required paperwork.
