About the Role

In this position you will own the end‑to‑end IT operations for the company, bridging people, technology and process to keep the team moving quickly and securely. Sitemate builds mobile‑first software that modernises construction and industrial workflows, replacing spreadsheets and paper with digital tools that improve speed, safety and sustainability. Day‑to‑day you will ensure high‑quality IT support, manage device and access lifecycles, maintain security and compliance, develop policies, lead infrastructure projects and oversee vendor relationships. The role requires balancing immediate support tasks with strategic initiatives, upholding security standards without slowing the business, and thriving in a rapid‑pace environment. • Manage IT support and service delivery, including ticketing, triage and issue resolution. • Oversee device and access lifecycle provisioning and de‑provisioning of laptops, mobile devices, applications and user access. • Handle hardware procurement, distribution, inventory management and asset tracking. • Maintain security and compliance standards, own SOC 2 requirements, implement controls, conduct access reviews and deliver security awareness training. • Develop and continuously improve IT policies, operating standards, documentation and internal training. • Plan and execute IT infrastructure changes such as platform migrations and tooling improvements. • Manage IT vendors and third‑party platforms to ensure performance, cost‑effectiveness and alignment with business needs. • Identify bottlenecks and proactively improve processes, automation and systems to support growth. • Balance hands‑on support with strategic, forward‑looking initiatives. • Maintain security and compliance without creating bottlenecks for the team.

What You Bring

We are looking for candidates with experience in IT support, systems administration, DevOps or similar hands‑on technical roles within fast‑growing organisations. Ideal candidates are technical generalists who can switch between hands‑on support, vendor negotiations and compliance audits, are comfortable with ambiguity, and excel at communicating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. • Adapt quickly in a fast‑moving environment and learn at a rapid pace. • Experienced technical operator ready to own the IT function end‑to‑end. • Able to switch gears quickly between support tickets, vendor negotiations and compliance audits. • Comfortable with hands‑on day‑to‑day IT support while thinking strategically about systems, processes and controls. • Thrives in ambiguous situations, building processes and standards where they do not exist. • Strong communicator who can translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders and build trust across the business. • Those who prefer highly structured or repetitive work, or who struggle with ambiguity, should not apply. • Hands‑on experience managing IT systems, infrastructure or technical operations. • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to anyone. • Solid understanding of security fundamentals as applied to internal IT. • Experience with device management/MDM platforms (nice to have). • Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001 or similar compliance requirements (nice to have). • Familiarity with cloud platforms and SaaS tools (AWS, Azure, GCP) (nice to have). • Exposure to automation or scripting to improve IT workflows (nice to have). • Proficient with Slack or similar collaboration tools. • Experienced with Microsoft and/or Google Workspace. • Skilled in using an IT ticketing or service management system. • Bonus familiarity with Rippling and compliance audit tools such as Drata.
