Job Highlights
About the Role
• Serve as a client‑facing Cost Consultant providing strategic, tactical and technical advice. • Interface with clients, external and internal consultants at all project stages. • Conduct feasibility studies and produce procurement reports. • Produce ROMs for new and pipeline projects to establish budget baselines. • Manage day‑to‑day cost of medium‑large client projects, including procurement, pay requests, change management and cost reporting. • Apply value‑management techniques early in the project using existing protocols and systems. • Manage the procurement process through pre‑qualification, enquiry, evaluation, selection and contract preparation. • Oversee post‑contract cost variances, change control, cost checking and valuation processes. • Produce and present monthly post‑contract cost reports to the client. • Provide value engineering and life‑cycle costing. • Update benchmarking data as new projects are executed to deliver real cost data to the client.

Mace North America is seeking a talented Cost Consultant for Life Science and Industrial Manufacturing projects, offering the chance to work directly with clients on iconic major capital projects. • Hold a degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying or a related field (MS/MBA preferred). • Minimum 5+ years of experience in cost management within the construction industry. • Experience in the Pharma/Life‑Science sector or similar manufacturing environment. • Experience supporting cost management on large, medium‑to‑high complexity construction projects. • Proficiency with Oracle Unifier or other project‑management systems. • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills with the ability to deliver service and actionable insights.
