About the Role

Key responsibilities include leading cross‑functional teams, supporting risk‑management deliverables for new product development, defining design requirements based on user needs and manufacturing considerations, and conducting process development studies with manufacturing partners. The role also involves testing prototypes with statistical analysis, applying systematic problem‑solving methods, managing design changes, maintaining risk‑management documentation, and interfacing with suppliers and manufacturing operations. • Lead cross‑functional teams to support quality decisions and practices. • Deliver risk‑management artifacts for new product development projects. • Define design requirements based on user needs, standards, and manufacturability goals. • Conduct process development studies with manufacturing to enhance producibility. • Test and analyze prototypes using Minitab (e.g., multivariate charts, t‑tests, Gage R&R) and iterate designs. • Apply systematic problem‑solving methods to prioritize and resolve quality issues. • Manage design change activities, ensuring thorough analysis, assessment, and implementation. • Maintain risk‑management documentation (HA, Design FMEA, Task/Fault Tree Analyses). • Evaluate supplier capability through drawing reviews, capability analysis, and engineering builds. • Facilitate post‑market surveillance and ensure compliance with performance and quality standards. • Support process verification/validation, blueprint reading (GD&T), and inspection techniques. • Author and update SOPs and support third‑party audits.
