About the Role
• Provide safety oversight and leadership for the Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites. • Develop site‑specific electrical safety programs and conduct related training, including train‑the‑trainer sessions. • Review safety submittals, attend preconstruction meetings, and mentor Safety Engineers and Coordinators. • Oversee documentation, tracking, and analysis of safety, injury, and hazard statistics and OSHA reports. • Conduct work‑area safety audits and assist with major incident investigations. • Monitor subcontractor activities for safety compliance.

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking a Safety Manager I to lead its Zero Injury Safety program across multiple construction sites. The role requires interacting with staff at all levels, maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and proactive problem‑solving. The position involves 100 % travel with rotations home every three weeks and does not offer visa sponsorship. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in safety/occupational health or equivalent certification (CHST, OSHA 500) with at least six years of construction safety experience. • Preferred Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification and a valid driver’s license. • Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.

The role offers a base salary between $100,100 and $150,200, with higher rates in specific locations, and includes eligibility for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
