About the Role
• Produce technical design and contract documents in collaboration with project teams. • Validate designs against technical guidelines, code requirements and regulations with senior team members. • Provide technical design solutions for interior and exterior assemblies. • Coordinate internal production teams and project sub‑consultants. • Mentor and lead less experienced technical staff. • Assist site team and prepare documentation for contract administration. • Provide comprehensive, customizable benefits package, RRSP matching and share purchase program. • Provide telemedicine 24/7 access and reimbursement of professional dues.

What You Bring
In the Defence sector, A49 delivers mission‑critical infrastructure for the Canadian Armed Forces, working on major National Defence projects using collaborative delivery models such as Integrated Project Delivery and Modified Design‑Build. Experience with Defence Construction Canada, bilingual proficiency, and the ability to obtain a Reliability and Secret security clearance are essential. • Hold a degree or diploma in architectural or building technology. • Minimum 7 years experience as a technologist/technician in an architectural consulting firm. • Lead BIM projects; proficient with BIM principles, Revit, Bluebeam and Microsoft 365. • Construction site experience. • Professional registration with a provincial technologists association (asset). • Bilingual in English and French (asset). • Ability to obtain Reliability and Secret security clearance (mandatory).
