About the Role

Technicians check system functionality, replace detector and panel batteries, verify warning sounder activation, and ensure standby battery operation. They inspect detection devices, confirm signaling equipment activation to the Alarm Receiving Centre, clean CCTV and Wi‑Fi cameras, and coordinate with the service bureau per company procedures. All work details are recorded accurately on a mobile data device according to instructions and codes of practice. • Perform routine inspections and breakdown repairs on CCTV, video doorbell, and intruder alarm systems. • Replace detector, panel, and backup batteries and test system standby operation. • Verify activation of warning sounders and signaling equipment to the Alarm Receiving Centre. • Clean and maintain CCTV and Wi‑Fi cameras. • Record work details on a mobile data device following codes of practice.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a full UK manual driver’s licence, be able to carry and climb ladders, and work safely with hand and power tools. Required attributes include reliability, trustworthiness, self‑motivation, the ability to work independently or in a team, excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, and familiarity with smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Preferred qualifications are electrical experience, relevant certifications, and prior experience installing or servicing residential security systems.
