About the Role

The technician will perform maintenance repairs on traffic and street‑light systems, conduct regular tests and quality checks to ensure safety compliance, and monitor and control utility equipment for reliable operation. They will assist in planning system upgrades, maintain accurate records, coordinate schedules with teammates, respond promptly to emergencies, and provide training to less‑experienced technicians. • Perform maintenance and repairs on traffic and street‑light systems. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in utility equipment and traffic systems. • Conduct regular safety tests, quality checks, and ensure compliance with industry standards. • Monitor and control utility equipment for efficient operation. • Assist in planning and implementing system upgrades and improvements. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections. • Coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize workload with team members. • Respond promptly to emergency situations. • Provide training and guidance to less‑experienced technicians.

What You Bring

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Utility Technician to operate, maintain, and repair various utility systems. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, proven troubleshooting abilities, and be organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently or within a team. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and mandatory NEC certification. Preferred credentials are IMSA Level II certification, a Class A driver’s license, and crane operator certification. Key skills are proven experience as a Utility Technician or similar role, familiarity with safety regulations, excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities, and the ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Additional strengths include proficient use of hand and power tools, strong attention to detail, effective oral and written communication, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and mandatory NEC certification. • Preferred credentials: IMSA Level II, Class A driver’s license, crane operator certification. • Demonstrated experience as a Utility Technician or similar role. • Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. • Proficiency with hand and power tools, strong attention to detail, and effective communication. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
